To strengthen grassroots fire safety and enhance public safety awareness, on November 4, the Yichun Economic Development Zone held the Firefighting Skills Competition for Enterprise Micro Fire Stations, as well as the launching ceremony of the “119” Fire Safety Awareness Month.
This competition brought together 27 teams and more than 150 participants from micro fire stations across the zone. The event aimed to refine emergency response skills through real-life simulation and officially kicked off a month-long series of fire safety promotion activities.
With the sharp sound of the whistle, the competition entered “combat mode.” Focusing on the core needs of early-stage fire response, four major events were conducted — indoor fire hydrant target operation, portable extinguisher oil pan fire operation, firefighting protective gear dressing, and theoretical knowledge assessment — comprehensively testing both the participants’ practical and theoretical abilities.
On the field, contestants demonstrated strong discipline, agility, and teamwork — from swift and precise donning of gear to efficient hose connections and decisive fire extinguishing actions. Every move was well-coordinated and seamless. Off the field, enthusiastic cheers and applause filled the air, creating an intense and exciting atmosphere.
After a full day of competition, Jiangxi Betterray New Energy Co., Ltd. and Yichun Yusheng Industrial Co., Ltd. won the Third Prize in the Team Category.
In the individual events, Zhang Liye and Qi Yaobing won second place in the outdoor hydrant target operation, while Zhao Mingliang placed fourth in the firefighting gear dressing event.
